ProDVX tablets need a small companion app called the ProDVX API to be installed before the Omma App. The Omma App uses it to control screen brightness, the LED bar, screenshots, and remote reboot. Without it, those features will not work.
Install the ProDVX API first, then continue with the regular Omma App install.
Pick the right variant
The ProDVX API ships in two variants. Install only the one that matches your device — installing the wrong one will prevent the Omma App from talking to it.
Your device | APK to install | Download link |
Android 8.1, 9, 11, 12, or 13 — AOSP firmware (most ProDVX models) | ProDVX-API-AOSP-v1.3d.apk | |
Android 11 — EDLA / GMS firmware (model APPC-10SLBe) | ProDVX-API-EDLA-v1.3d.apk |
How to tell which one you need: open Settings → About tablet on the ProDVX device. If you see "Google Play Services" listed, or the model number is APPC-10SLBe, choose the EDLA variant. Otherwise, choose AOSP.
Install the APK
On the ProDVX tablet, open the browser and go to the download link from the table above.
When the download finishes, tap the downloaded file (or open it from the Downloads folder).
Tap Install on the prompt.
(If Android blocks the install, enable Settings → Security → Install unknown apps for the browser you used, then try again.)When installation completes, click Done.
Grant any permissions if the app requests.
Sometimes you may need to go to Settings -> System -> Digital Signage Options -> Enable ProDVX API
Press Home to return to the launcher. The ProDVX API now runs in the background; there is nothing else to configure here.
You can now continue with the regular Omma App install here.
