DNS, firewall, proxy settings and what specs you need to run OMMA

Minimum Requirements

For Player Boxes:

Note: ARM processors are not compatible.

  • CPU: Intel Celeron 1037 or higher

  • GPU: Onboard graphics card

  • Ram: 2gb or higher

  • Storage: 32gb or higher

  • Output: HDMI,DVI or Display Port Output

For Android:

  • Android Version: 5.1.1 or higher.

  • Google Chrome Version: 65.0.3325 or higher. *(If not, please install the latest System WebView. You can update WebView only if you are using Android 5.0 or higher. Incompatible Chrome versions may have problems with synchronization.)

For webOS:

  • OMMA supports any webOS version, however we recommend using the latest one.

For Samsung Tizen:

  • Samsung devices need a connection to "pool.ntp.org" address to be able to set Timezone information.

For Windows:

  • Minimum Requirements

Operating System: Windows 7 SP1 (Service Pack1) and upper (32/64 bit)
Processor: 1 GHz+ processor or SoC
RAM:  2 GB
Hard disk space:  1 GB (for content cache)
Graphics card: Not required
Display Resolution: 800x600

  • Recommended Requirements

Operating System: Windows 10 (32/64 bit)
Processor: 2 GHz+ processor.
RAM:  4 GB
Hard disk space:  4 GB (for content cache)
Graphics card: Nvidia Quadro P2000 or Radeon HD 5570
Display Resolution: 1920x1080

Note: We also support Windows IoT devices but functionalities may differ on IoT device configurations.


Firewall and Proxy

Firewall

If there is a firewall in the location, they have to allow ports 80 and 443 (80 for downloading the OMMA App to the clients, 443 is for realtime connection).  

In case they need IP based access limitation, firewall should allow domain based (*.ommasign.com and *.omma.io) filtering or it should access to port 443.

The NTP servers mentioned below are utilized as the standard servers on LG webOS devices. If you're operating older versions of webOS devices (such as 1.0, 2.0, 3.0), you need to activate these domains within your network.

Proxy

OMMA is supporting proxy servers.  In case your customer provides internet access with proxy server,  please ensure that your panels or players should be supporting proxy server settings. Settings of the devices should be done accordingly.

Note: Using proxy may limit some of the app features.
