When an element is selected, you can duplicate it using keyboard shortcut (CTRL + D) or you can click on the duplicate icon under Format tab.

This action will duplicate the existing element with its features (value, font, color etc.) and you will see the duplicated item next to the original one. 

You can delete an element with keyboard shortcut (DELETE) or clicking the delete icon on format tab.
