Contracts in the Omma platform establish financial agreements with our trusted resellers, introducing additional features and restrictions to the licensing system. Here's what you need to know:
Definition
License Association: Contracts are integral to creating licenses, defining specific terms, and conditions. Each license is linked to a contract; licenses cannot exist without a contract.
Ownership: Only reseller accounts can have contracts, and a reseller can possess multiple contracts.
Contract States
Active: This is the default state when a contract is created.
Suspended: Suspended contracts halt new license creation but allow renewals under the same contract. Suspended contracts can become active again.
Deactivated: Contracts can be deactivated. Deactivating a contract necessitates transferring active licenses to a new contract. Deactivated contracts can't be activated.
Contract Attributes
License Creation Permission: Defines the authority for creating licenses via the panel.
Stock Life: Specifies the duration a license can reside in the reseller's stock.
Activation Buffer: Determines the grace period in customer account before a transferred license starts its duration.
Products Enabled: Limits the types of licenses that can be created from the contract.
Minimum License Quota: Establishes the minimum number of licenses to be created at once.
Renewal Period: Determines the renewal time frame for the licenses created.
