OMMA asks for a second verification step every time you log in. You can receive this code as an SMS (Twilio SMS) or generate it with an authenticator app on your phone (Google Authenticator). You can change the method on your profile page at any time.
Note: Two-factor authentication can not be turned off. You can only switch between SMS and an authenticator app.
Note: You do not have to use the Google Authenticator app. The option is named "Google Authenticator" in the panel, but any authenticator app that generates 6 digit codes works, for example Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy or 1Password.
Switch to Google Authenticator
Click on the user name on bottom-left corner. This will open a menu above. Click My Profile.
Scroll down to the 2FA Method field at the bottom of the page.
Select Google Authenticator from the list.
A Google Authenticator window opens. Open the authenticator app of your choice on your phone and scan the QR code, or type the Secret key into the app manually.
Type the 6 digit code generated by the app into the field next to the QR code and click Test. You should see the green Success! message.
Click Enable. The window closes and 2FA Method now shows Google Authenticator.
Click Save Changes.
Note: The setup is not applied until you click Save Changes. If you leave the page without saving, your 2FA method stays as SMS.
You will see the green "Profile updated successfully" message on top. You will also receive an e-mail confirming that your authentication method has changed.
Logging in with Google Authenticator
Type panel.omma.io into the address bar of your browser. Enter your email and password and click Login.
Open the authenticator app on your phone, type the 6 digit code into the Google Authenticator Code field and click Continue.
If you login from the same device, you will not be asked for the code in every login attempt for a certain period of time.
If you enter a wrong code too many times, login is temporarily blocked. Wait for a while and try again with a fresh code from the app.
Switching back to SMS
Go to My Profile and select Twilio SMS in the 2FA Method field.
Click OK on the "Setting up Twilio SMS" confirmation. An SMS with a verification code is sent to the phone number on your profile.
Type the code into the SMS Code field and click Verify.
You will see the message "2FA method is set as Twilio SMS. Please save your profile to apply the changes."
Click Save Changes.
Note: Switching to SMS requires a valid phone number on your profile. If your number has changed, update the Phone Number field and save it first.
Got a new phone?
If you still have your old phone, you can move Google Authenticator to the new phone yourself:
Switch to Twilio SMS and click Save Changes (see Switching back to SMS above).
Select Google Authenticator again and scan the QR code with your new phone.
Click Test, then Enable, then Save Changes.
Remove the old ommaworks.com entry from the authenticator app on your old phone.
Lost your phone or can not get codes?
If you can not generate codes and can not log in, contact our support team via the chat button on the bottom-right corner of the login screen. We will help you regain access to your account.
