12.9 Upgrading a Trial Account

Trial accounts do not use licenses and they have access to all features.

Trial period is 30 days. When the trial ends, devices do not stop displaying content. Reseller is expected to assess the license usage and upgrade the account to paid tier (or suspend the account if the customer is churned).

Upgrading a Trial Account

Select the account and confirm account information

  • Select the trial account from accounts list.

  • Click on the "Upgrade to Paid Account" button.

  • Adjust/confirm account info before proceeding to the license assessment. You might want to delete words like -trial- or -demo- from account name.

Assess the licenses

  • On the left, you will be seeing the current usage of the account. You must assess necessary licenses before upgrading.

As an alternative, you can delete the devices from customer account if you don't want to create licenses for it.

  • Select the license details from right panel. Repeat this if you have multiple usages (like paid add-ons).

  • If you do not have stock license, you can create a new license under a suitable contract here.

  • Select the contract and license details and click Save.

  • When you successfully assign the licenses, you will see a green badge saying all usage is allocated. You can submit and continue from left panel.

Preview before upgrade

  • Before creating a licenses, you will see a list of licenses to be assessed here. You should check the dates and product details to make sure you are creating the correct license.

  • Click to submit and upgrade account.

Account upgrade successful

  • When the process is completed, you will see a success message. If you encounter an error here, do not hesitate to contact our support team.
