Exclusive Contracts in Omma's License Management System define specific rules for account association, limiting license usage based on contract connections. Below are the key aspects:

Connected Accounts

  • Account Associations: When a sub-account of a reseller is linked to a contract, it exclusively uses licenses associated with that contract.

  • Unrestricted Access: If an account isn't linked to any contract, it can access licenses from all unrestricted contracts.

  • Multiple Associations: A contract can have multiple connected accounts, and similarly, an account can be linked to multiple contracts.

Account Restrictions and License Usage

  • Changing Restrictions: An account using licenses from unrestricted contracts continues to renew those licenses from its current contract, even if restricted in another contract. However, for new licenses, it can only create them from connected restricted contracts.

  • Restrictions Removal: If an account under a restricted contract has restrictions removed from all the contracts of its owner, renewals still occur under the same restricted contracts. New licenses, however, can only be created from public contracts.

  • Partial Restrictions: If restrictions are partially removed from a list of exclusive contracts, renewals persist under their current contracts. However, new licenses can only be generated from the remaining restricted contracts.
